Taekwon-Do Grading

The photos here were taken on a Nikon D5300 with an 18-300mm NIKKOR lens and a Nikon D3000 with a 55-75mm NIKKOR lens. A shutter speed of 1/320 was used with F-4.6 and ISO 1600. The shoot was for Master James Kesler (a black belt Taekwon-do master who taught at Shrewsbury college) that was doing a grading. I took photos for the ITF website and for a lot of Instagram accounts. The day included a lot of fast and sport like shots capturing the punches and kicks breaking boards and jumping everywhere. I had to really capture it at the right moment. I got over 2000 photos but for my website I choose only 12 photos.

The photos here were taken on a Nikon D5300 with an 18-300mm NIKKOR lens. A shutter speed of 1/400 was used with F-5.6 and ISO 1000. The shoot was simply to practice my sport photography. capturing fast motion with a high shutter speed. I thought as there was a game at the sports village on this day, and a close friend of mine was going, I would go along to get photos. I got a total of 33 photos.

29.04.22 Ireland 2022

For this shoot I used a Nikon D5300 with an 18-300mm NIKKOR lens. I used a variety of different settings, but I took all photos on manual priority. It was my first ever time in Ireland so I wanted to capture loads of amazing photos, and I think I was successful, lots of the work are hot air balloons as that's why I was there but there are some castles and other things in there too. Most of the photos in this series you might see are black and white with 1 or maybe 2 colors in there. I do this to highlight that part of the photo, and it also looks much better this way. With my work I really love black and white photography, but occasionally adding 1 or 2 colors in there works very well. This was a much-enjoyed photo shoot and I think it is a great place to return to one day and take lots more photos. I got a total of 31 photos.

ButterMarket Boxing

For this shoot I used a Nikon D5300 with an 18-300mm NIKKOR lens. I used a variety of different settings, but I took all photos on manual priority. I had never been to a boxing match before so when a colleague of mine said she was going to be fighting at one for a charity event, I simply had to come and watch. The match took place at The ButterMarket in Shrewsbury. The night went on for over 7 hours. I got a total of 61 photos.

17.07.23 Hertford Shoot

For this shoot I used a Nikon D5300 with an 18-300mm NIKKOR lens. I used a variety of different settings, but I took all photos on manual priority. I was staying in Hertford with some family. While i was there we took many walks into the town of Hertford and ended up at some nice pubs. I thought the next time i go i must take some photos. So for the next few weeks i did exactly that. I got a total of 9 photos.

04.07.25 Bromham Show 2025

The photos here were taken on a Nikon D5300 with a 18-300mm NIKKOR lens. A shutter speed of 1/125 was used with an aperture of F-16 and ISO 100. On the 14th July 2025 I was privileged to attend the Bromham show in.....Bromham. There were many activities and many stalls. An all-round good time. 2 older planes did an amazing fly-by to some very dramatic music. Live music and thrilling shows. What a day out. I got a total of 34 photos.

14.07.25 Hertford - Rock at the castle

The photos here were taken on a Nikon D5300 with a 18-300mm NIKKOR lens. A shutter speed of 1/125 was used with an aperture of F-5.6 and ISO 100. On the 3rd of August I was lucky enough to get to go to the Rock-at-the-castle charity event in the castle grounds at Hertford. There were three stages in different areas on the castle grounds, all stages had live music by some amazing local singers and artists. It went from 12 - 6PM. I got some amazing aerial shots and some amazing ground shots, talked to a lot of lovely people and got to know a little about the event. I got a total of 152 photos.
